Xcel Energy will soon be continuing a transmission line upgrade project along 140th Street, starting at County Road E and continuing north into New Richmond. This work involves replacing aging transmission structures and is unrelated to the proposed Ten Mile Creek Solar project. Initial activities will include vegetation management, project staking, mat placement, and installation of culverts/pole casings where needed. Nearly all work will occur within existing utility easements, and any affected landowners will be contacted directly by our Siting and Land Rights team. Xcel Energy will adhere to all road restrictions, and if traffic control is required, the project manager will secure the necessary permits and approvals.
